Leah & Eric: Holy Family Church {March 9, 2013}

We’d like to take you on a photographic journey of a wedding that took place just over a week ago. Leah & Eric were married by Father Hickey at Holy Family Church in Rockland, and continued the celebration with family and friends at The Pembroke Country Club. The stage was set: a beautiful bride, a handsome groom… A wedding party filled with family and friends and overflowing with smiles and tears. There were tears of joy for the coming together of two beautiful people and their families, and there were tears of sorrow for those who could not be with them in body, but were surely there in spirit, to offer Leah & Eric their blessings from beyond. Above all, love each other deeply.

You must be ready for a peek at the bride by now? Here she is…

This wedding couldn’t get underway without some smiles and advice from the bride’s grandmother.

Leah clearly gets her smile from her grandmother, as they both light up the room.

The bride always get first dibs on the blog, being mentioned and showcased first. That’s just how it goes. But we had a groom, as well, and the groom had plenty of support.

A grand entrance was made by all, including the youngest of the wedding party. Lucky guy, or lucky girls? You decide.

As the ceremony gets underway, Leah and Eric follow the lead of Father Hickey on their journey of becoming man and wife.

Britany & Michael: Public Gardens at Sunset

Having your wedding in Boston has its advantages and one of them is having your formal wedding photos taken at the Boston Public Garden.

Britany & Michael recited their vows at St. Peter’s Church in South Boston. St. Peter’s is a beautiful, historic Catholic church in the heart of South Boston.

Following the wedding ceremony, the bridal party boarded a trolley to make the short trip to the Public Garden. The sun was setting just as we arrived.

The reception was held at Florian Hall in Dorchester where Britany & Michael danced the night away with all of their guests.

Megan & Michael: Jones River Trading, Kingston {10/12/12}

If you have ever been lucky enough to have attended a wedding at Jones River Trading (or better yet, had YOUR wedding there) then you know what a unique and beautiful hidden gem is tucked away on that side road in Kingston.

Megan & Michael were married at First Parish Church of Kingston and then celebrated with family and friends right across the way at Jones River Trading. And oh what a celebration it was! Where to even begin in a pictorial method to share the day with you…  maybe with a photo that the bride would not have seen as it happened. The flower girl and ring bearer leading the way.

All eyes on the flower girl and ring bearer as they lead the way at First Parish Church of Kingston.

Stealing a quick moment alone after the ceremony but before the reception, Megan and Michael are officially husband and wife when this photograph was taken.

Standing at the doorway of First Parish Church of Kingston, Megan and Michael sneak a moment alone.

If you have never had the good fortune to attend an event at Jones River Trading, check out this view that showcases the uniqueness of the venue which sets it apart from others.

Jones River Trading, in all it’s wedding reception glory.

Megan and Michael look as though they are falling in love all over again during their first dance as husband and wife.

The first dance that celebrates the rest of their lives together…

How about when the dance floor opened up for everybody? The DJ and MC for the night, Tim Kane of Blue Line Entertainment, did his job, and he did it well. The dance floor was packed all night with happy, dancing, smiling people.

The flower girl and ring bearer were not just goofing around on the dance floor- they were actually dancing, and kind of showing up some of the adults as far as their moves went.

It seemed like neither the bride nor the groom left the dance floor all night, either dancing with each other, or with guests.

There’s no denying that Megan & Michael had a wedding that will be remembered by all who attended for years to come. We were and remain honored that they choose Photo & Video by Joe Goldsberry to capture all the moments and memories of the day. Congratulation, Megan & Michael, and wishing you a life time of happiness.

{July 21, 2012} Taylor & Nathan: Smooth Sailing at Wychmere Beach Club!

Most brides can’t wait to walk down the aisle. But when Taylor was escorted to her groom’s side for their Wychmere Beach Club wedding in Harwichport, there would be none of that. She sailed over to her groom, with her dad and bridal party right by her side. A unique entrance for sure, and we will share that moment with you, captured forever in time, in this blog post.

The whole day had a certain sui generis which lent itself to the people, the surroundings, and the excitement that encompassed all who were here to bear witness for Taylor & Nathan’s vows as they began their life together as husband and wife.

Take, for example, the music you will hear playing as the bride sailed over to be given in marriage. The music was played by The Scorton Chamber Ensemble, and as you listen to the crisp, clean audio we captured from their musicians, take into consideration the song they choose for their processional. While they choose an instrumental version, think of these words as you watch the video:
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.
Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.

Have a look and a listen for yourself. We think you’ll enjoy this short clip as much as we enjoyed filming Taylor & Nathan’s whole wedding.

August 18, 2012 {Amy & Steve} Their Awesome Greek Wedding!

Amy & Steve didn’t let a little rain get in the way of having the absolute best wedding day ever. First things first, take a look at the amazing detail on Amy’s gorgeous dress.

The detail on Amy’s dress is both beautiful and breathtaking.

The ceremony was a traditional Greek wedding, held at St. Catherine’s in Braintree.

Every groom needs a best man by his side, and Steve had his…

Nervous just before his wedding? Nah, not for Steve.

The ceremony was steeped in Greek tradition.

The Father at Saint Catherine’s Church in Braintree reading scripture for Amy & Steve’s wedding.

The crowns play a very important part of the ceremony. The crowns are said to be a visual reminder of what awaits us in Heaven, but they also are said to symbolize that the couple has just become King and Queen of their newly created family.

The koubara symbolically switches the crowns 3 times after the priest has placed them on the bride and groom.

Another beautiful shot of the ceremony…

Every ceremony ends with “You may kiss the bride”…

Amy & Steve “seal the deal” with a kiss as the Father looks on with approval.

Time for one last shot outside the church, before we head out to The Tirrell Room for Amy & Steve’s reception.

We started with some indoor “formals”, thanks to Mother Nature and her pesky rain drops.

Inside The Tirrell Room in Quincy, the natural light coming in helped make for a great shot.

Mother Nature was kind at some times during the day, and allowed us to get some outdoor photos.

Outside The Tirrell Room, the fabulous gazebo makes a nice background.

Amy & Steve’s first dance together as man and wife may have left only a few dry eyes in the house.

In case you were wondering if there was cake, the answer is: of course there was cake, silly!! Thank you, Montillio’s Baking Company!

This gorgeous and delicious cake was made by Montillio’s Baking Company.

Mother Nature gave us a little reprieve later in the night, and we will close with one of those outdoor, end of the night shots…

The gazebo at The Tirrell Room lit up at night provides Amy & Steve with a picture perfect shot at the ned of the night.

Our congratulations to Amy & Steve, as well as our thanks for allowing us to be their wedding day photographer.

{July 14, 2012} Kimberly + Steven @ The Monponsett Inn = wedded bliss!

The day was full of “perfect”. The gazebo, the details, the weather… the bride and the groom. Kim and Steve choose a beautiful spot in Halifax for their wedding day. The Monponsett Inn, with its gazebo and water views lends itself to being a premier ceremony and reception location on the South Shore.

Check out some of the details that made their wedding unique, and made their guests “ooohhhh” and “aaahhhh”…

Special touches and personal details made Kim and Steve’s wedding a memorable event for their family and friends.

And did I mention the gazebo? The Monponsett Inn is well-known for their gazebo view. It’s no wonder so many people choose to get married here.

The gazebo at The Monponsett Inn, Halifax boasts a water view that is hard to beat!

You’ve seen the details, you’ve seen the gazebo. But what you’re really here to see is the bride and groom. Seeing the groom watch his bride walk down the aisle is a shot that cannot be recreated. It’s a once in a lifetime look that speaks a thousand words.

Steve gets his first look of his bride as she is escorted down the aisle by her father.

Steve and Kim were married among family and friends outdoors. The sheer happiness of the day is evident at every moment throughout the day and night.

Steve and Kim’s outdoor ceremony at The Monponsett Inn brought together many friends and family to bear witness to their union.

Dinner and dancing followed their wedding ceremony well into the night. A packed dance floor set the scene for a night of festive celebration.

The dance floor was packed and the seats were empty, as family and friends made sure to keep the dance floor packed all night.

DeAnna & CJ {June 30, 2012} The “Four Weddings” wedding at Easton Country Club

The preparations were set and excitement was afoot at The Easton Country Club. After years in the making, and many months of planning, DeAnna and CJ’s wedding day had arrived.

The dream team was assembled, with Leigh Howlett as their in-house wedding planner extraordinaire providing special touches around every corner and food fit for a king and queen prepared by Russell Morin Fine Catering.

Yours truly was filming the day from start to finish, alongside the very talented Starlight Photography to capture every important moment.

Photos courtesy of Kristopher J. Ventresco, Starlight Photography, Easton, Mass.

Rob Peters from Rob Peters Entertainment was on hand to DJ, MC and provide all the entertainment for the evening. Add to the mix beautiful flowers from Green Akers Florist, and a cake that looks are great as it tastes by Artisan Bake Shop, and the day is almost complete…

There is one more detail… TLC’s Four Weddings would be filming DeAnna and CJ’s wedding for their 2012 Summer/Autumn season. Sure, there were extra camera people and sound people, and there were 3 extra guests (the other 3 brides from the show) in attendance. But they all blended in so well, I don’t know that anyone even noticed them. What people did notice was the fabulous candy buffet set up by Leigh, the teal up lighting that matched the whole teal theme, a super fun photobooth, and the basket of flip-flops that the newlyweds provided to their guests so no one’s dogs would be barking at the end of the night.

But don’t take our word for it. Watch and see for yourself! We have assembled a highlight video that showcases dancing, smiling and good times had by all. You’ll hear DeAnna and CJ’s vows and DeAnna’s aunt singing the vocals, you’ll see the happiness that flows so freely, and you’ll feel the love that brought not only DeAnna and CJ together, but also brought together two families who seem to be one. Let us know what you think…
